On August 21, 2026, agency Billions announced that it had signed an exclusive contract with actor Yoo Ah In.

In a statement released on the company's social media channels, Billions said:

"We take very seriously the concerns surrounding Yoo Ah In's past and his recent return to activity.

Prior to signing the contract, we held several frank discussions with Yoo Ah In. Together, we gave deep consideration to the responsibility and conditions required for resuming his acting career, as well as the direction he should take moving forward.

What Yoo Ah In considered most important for himself was not favorable terms or support for his comeback, but rather establishing a relationship with a sincere partner with whom he could carefully and cautiously discuss the process of seeking forgiveness and understanding from the public. Rather than rushing things, we will work together over the long term to help the actor fulfill his responsibilities and build entirely new trust [with the public].

We will not treat the past lightly or attempt to hastily forget it. We will take current issues seriously, humbly listen to criticism from the public and the media, and approach necessary communication with a modest attitude. We will work diligently and sincerely to ensure that the actor's dedication to his craft and his artistry are genuinely reflected in his future actions."

In 2023, Yoo Ah In stood trial on charges of drug misuse. For three years, the actor was unable to work due to the scandal surrounding his excessive use of propofol. He served several months in prison, was subsequently released on probation, and was ordered to pay a fine of 2 million won.

On August 18, news broke that the actor was resuming his career and would take on the lead role in the film "Vampire".

Yoo Ah In was previously represented by UAA (United Artist Agency). On June 30, 2026, media outlets reported that the actor had left the agency. Around the same time, Song Hye Kyo and Ryu Jun Yeol also departed from the agency.
