Netflix has announced the premiere date for the drama "The WONDERfools" (더 원더 풀스) — and it matches many earlier rumours circulating online: 15 May 2026.

The eight‑episode series stars Park Eun Bin ("Extraordinary Attorney Woo", "Hyper Knife") and Cha Eun Woo ("Island", "Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung"). The cast also includes Kim Hae Sook, Choi Dae Hoon, Im Seong Jae and Song Hyun Joo.

Fans of Cha Eun Woo can breathe a sigh of relief: the scandal surrounding his tax penalty has died down. To recap, on 8 April the actor announced he had paid 13 billion won to the treasury, effectively closing the matter.

The series "The WONDERfools" is an adventure comedy about superheroes. Set in 1999 in the town of Haesong, it captures the atmosphere of anticipation surrounding the expected end of the world in 2000. A group of quirky neighbours suddenly gain superpowers and take on a villain threatening the world.
