On the popular MBC show “I Live Alone,” actress Park Kyung Hye appeared and gave a glimpse into her life in a small studio apartment measuring just 6 pyeong (19.83 square meters).

Park Kyung Hye, 33, is a Korean actress who may not fall into the star category, but her face is certainly recognizable to all fans of Korean cinema. She made her debut 15 years ago. Her body of work includes "Escape from Mogadishu", "Smugglers", "Love in Contract", "Goblin", "My Fellow Citizens", "My Roommate Is a Gumiho" and others. She possesses a unique charisma and a distinctive acting style.

Now she admits: “I don’t have a steady income.” The actress revealed that she works part-time at a café because her professional acting career is too unstable to provide a consistent livelihood. The show featured her on the job: from cleaning and taking orders to making drinks and serving customers.

The actress also gave a tour of her small studio in Yeoksam-dong, a neighborhood in the Gangnam district. Of course, prices there are likely higher than in more remote parts of Seoul. The apartment costs her 590,000 won per month (approximately $400). Meanwhile, the deposit was 50 million won (about $34,000).

Park Kyung Hye admitted that she carefully chose a home within her means.

At the same time, the actress shared that this is the first time she has lived on her own. “This is my first time living alone. And it’s my first time ever looking for a home,” Park Kyung Hye said. “I tried to apply for youth housing, but I kept getting rejected. I felt that at this rate, my youth status would run out, so I gathered my courage and started living alone.”

Although the space was compact and efficiently arranged, visible mold, rust stains, and even a slightly sagging ceiling due to humidity painted a more troubling picture. Park Kyung Hye said this was because of the previous tenant, who did not take proper care of the apartment, adding that she had missed some of these issues during the initial inspection. “I think I can live well if I take good care of the place,” the actress said confidently.
