Actress Moon Geun Young and theater actor Jeong Pyeong have revealed that they tied the knot.

The wedding was held recently in a private ceremony, with no prior public announcement.

Today, Moon Geun Young posted a handwritten letter on her Instagram account, sharing the news of her marriage.

«I have met someone with whom I want to walk the path I have always walked alone; someone with whom I want to share the worries I have kept to myself; and someone with whom I want to smile at the smallest things. I hope you will congratulate us and offer your support rather than worry. In return for your encouragement, I will work harder and live an even better life».

Born in 1987, Moon Geun Young made her acting debut as a child actress in 1999 at the age of 12. She rose to fame with the drama «Autumn in My Heart» (2000), in which she played the younger version of Song Hye Kyo’s character. The role earned her the nickname “the nation’s little sister.”

Her career peaked in the late 2000s and early 2010s, when she took leading roles in such iconic series as «The Painter of the Wind» (2008), «Cinderella's Sister» (2010), «Mary Stayed Out All Night» (2010), and «Cheongdamdong Alice» (2012–13).

After that, her on-screen appearances became less frequent, but each new project showcased her high level of skill – including «The Village: Achiara's Secret», «Catch The Ghost», and the films «The Throne», «Glass Garden», and «Memories of Hae Gak». In 2024, she starred in the second season of the Netflix series «Hellbound». She is also actively involved in theatre.

Her husband, Jeong Pyeong, is seven years her senior. He made his stage debut in 2007 and has primarily worked in musical theatre. The couple met through the creative collective Vachi, a community of actors who produce theatrical works outside the mainstream. Moon Geun Young currently heads this collective.
