Lee Joon Ho's agency has officially confirmed that the actor is in talks for a role in a new fantasy project and is positively considering the offer. He has been offered the lead male role in the drama "Embassy for Foreign Monsters in Korea" (주한이국대사관).

"Embassy for Foreign Monsters in Korea" is a mystery romantic comedy. The plot follows a female protagonist who is a trainee diplomat. By mistake, she is assigned to a secret embassy that manages monsters living in the Republic of Korea.

There she meets Ambassador Cha Yeon, to be played by Lee Joon Ho. He is the Water God, also known as the Dragon. He has been stuck on Earth for 1,200 years and cannot leave it.

Viewers can look forward to an engaging, mystery-filled and humorous development of the relationship between the two main characters.

The series is tentatively scheduled to premiere in 2027 on tvN.

The director is Bae Hyun Jin, known for the dramas "Big Mouth" and "Alchemy of Souls Season 2: Light and Shadow". The script is written by Shin Ha Eun, who gave audiences the warm love story in "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha".

Lee Joon Ho, often called a "box office guarantee" for his work on "Красный манжет рукава" and "King the Land", continues to work actively. He is currently busy filming the Netflix series "Buy King" (바이킹, Gumae Wang, Viking, Baiking, 구매 왕) and is preparing for the release of the variety show "Daebak Office 2" on the same platform. Now a new ambitious project is on the horizon, one that could add yet another iconic role – that of a powerful and mysterious water deity – to his resume.

Recently, in an interview with At Style, Lee Joon Ho  shared his thoughts on his craft and career.

He spoke about his character Han Ji Yeol – a third-generation chaebol in the Netflix series "Buy King":

"Han Ji Yeol is a very rational and cold character on the inside. I have to control my weight to convey his dry and cool exterior. Although my character is also a chaebol like Gu Won from the series "King the Land", he is a completely different personality."

Lee Joon Ho boasted about the good chemistry with his co-star, actor Joo Ji Hoon: "Sunbae Joo's focus and energy on set are truly incredible. Although filming has only just begun, we are enjoying it because we have great chemistry."

The actor, who recently left JYP Entertainment after 17 years and moved to O3 Collective, admitted that he feels a new sense of responsibility.

"I am still in the learning stage. I look at things from a new angle and gladly accept new experiences from those around me," he said.

When asked about the secret to maintaining such a busy schedule, Lee Joon Ho replied that the schedule does not weigh him down; rather, it gives him strength.

"Being busy doesn't feel hard to me; on the contrary, it gives me energy. I want to continue delighting you with my various images," the artist emphasised.

In the same interview, he spoke warmly about the recent 2PM concert celebrating the group's 15th Japanese debut anniversary, held at Tokyo Dome.

"When I stepped onto the stage, I was overwhelmed with gratitude and joy. I felt with all my heart how long our fans had waited to see all six members perform together. I thought a lot about how precious that time is," he shared.

Lee Joon Ho also asked fans to look forward to the group's upcoming concert in Korea, scheduled for August 2026.
