Actor Kim Soo Hyun is returning to active work after a hiatus that began in March 2025.

Immediately after the launch of the new collection for fashion brand «BENCH», which features Kim Soo Hyun in its advertising, all items were sold out in all sizes on the official online store.

Bench, the largest clothing and home-goods retail chain in the Philippines, considers this conversion rate exceptionally high, noting that consumer interest has translated directly into real purchases. The commercial shoot took place in the Philippines.

In March 2025, Kim Soo Hyun put his career on hold following the death of actress Kim Sae Ron and the ensuing scandal over their relationship, which allegedly began when she was still a minor. However, in spring 2026, police investigations revealed that the evidence files submitted had been fabricated. Kim Seui, who had been spreading information about Kim Soo Hyun via his YouTube channel Garosero, has been charged with defamation and is currently in pre-trial detention, preparing for his first hearing scheduled for 24 July 2026.

Meanwhile, the court hearing in the case of FromBIO versus Kim Soo Hyun, which was scheduled for 22 July, has been postponed once again. The new date is 19 August. The previous hearing, held on 10 June, lasted only a few minutes. The court requested additional clarifications from the plaintiff and adjourned until 22 July. However, as we can see, yesterday’s hearing did not take place. FromBIO is seeking compensation from Kim Soo Hyun, arguing that the scandal surrounding Kim Sae Ron has damaged the brand’s image. The case is being heard by the 14th Civil Division of the Suwon District Court. The reason for the postponement has not been officially disclosed.
