Today, August 19, 2026, K-pop legends BIGBANG celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut.

To mark the milestone and kick off their long-awaited comeback, the group has released a new digital single, 'BiiiG'.

Their previous release came four years and four months ago with 'Spring Summer Autumn Winter'.

Members G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung were all involved in the creation of 'BiiiG' — from the music and visuals to marketing strategy.

G-Dragon contributed to the songwriting and production, delivering his signature sharp rap, while Taeyang brought his explosive vocals and Daesung added power and depth. According to the Korean press, this combination creates the signature synergy that defines BIGBANG.

At 8:00 PM tonight, a free fan event — BIGBANG 20th Anniversary X Hangang Collaboration — will take place on the Mulbit Stage at Yeouido Park. Attendees will enjoy a DJ set featuring new renditions of the group's biggest hits, a video chronicling their career journey, and a multimedia show blending media art with a live orchestra. The evening will conclude with a spectacular drone display and fireworks over the Han River.

A massive floating LED screen has been installed on the water next to the stage, with additional large screens placed along the shore to ensure that everyone in attendance has a clear view.

The event will be streamed live on Coupang Play.

Following the anniversary celebrations, BIGBANG will launch  "BIGBANG 2026-2027 WORLD TOUR XX : COSMOS". The tour's title symbolizes the 20 years the group has spent with their fans (XX) and their everlasting connection (COSMOS). The tour will span 19 cities with a total of 33 performances.
