Ahn Eun Jin plays film director Lee Mi Do. Lee Mi Do is charismatic and beautiful, shining on set. Seo Kang Joon takes on the role of Namgung Ho, an office worker who finds himself caught up in unexpected emotional ups and downs.

The protagonists face a difficult choice: whether to move toward marriage or part ways. The situation intensifies when new people enter their lives, serving as catalysts for re-evaluating their feelings.

Lawyer Han Tae Seung (Lee Joo Ahn) offers support to Lee Mi Do, while junior colleague Park Su A (Jo A Ram) openly expresses her sympathy for Nam Gung Ho.

Director Hwang Seung Gi expressed confidence in the success of his work:

«The drama explores the fundamental nature of love, which is something everyone can relate to. It will be a pleasure to watch the actors' performances».

Namgung Ho not only arrives at work on time every day and fulfills his duties, but also takes meticulous care of Lee Mi Do, who lives across the street, preparing meals and watering her plants. Namgung Ho's daily life is filled with love for Lee Mi Do, and even the most mundane routines cease to feel ordinary.

Lee Mi Do's life has no set schedule. Although she is a film director whose works have been selected for international film festivals, her ambitious projects fail one after another, and she faces obstacles in her career. Nevertheless, she continues to write screenplays and does not give up on her dream. But despite her deep love for Nam Gung Ho, she remains torn.

Explaining his reason for joining the project, Seo Kang Joon said:

«The script was truly interesting. While reading it, I felt that the characters' feelings and emotions were not clearly laid out. I thought this could be an interesting project where I could express the character through my own eyes, actions, and nuances. The script struck me as resembling real-life stories».

Ahn Eun Jin, Lee Joo Ahn, and Jo A Ram also praised the high quality of the script, stating in unison: «We liked the characters' personalities and were curious to see how they would be brought to life through acting. We became interested and decided to take part».

Last year, Seo Kang Joon received the Grand Prize for acting for his role in the MBC drama «Undercover High School».

He said: «There is certainly some pressure [because of the award]. However, during filming, I did not think that I had to work harder or do better just because I received an award. I approached the project with the same mindset as always. That said, having received such a major award, I approached the role with dedication, reflecting and consulting with others as an actor should, in order to perform even better. One thing is clear: I gave it my all and worked hard to overcome my limitations».

Speaking about her reasons for choosing this project, Ahn Eun Jin said: «While reading the script, I felt that this is a story about characters we often encounter around us. It seemed to me that this story would resonate with everyone if they followed their hearts rather than just reading the lines. I chose this project because I thought it would be interesting to express those feelings».

Ahn Eun Jin shared what drew her to the project.

«It struck me as different from other melodramas. The main characters of this drama are a couple who have been together for 10 years. They go through periods of comfort and periods of boredom. The early episodes have many scenes illustrating this, and I tried to show it in a way that made viewers think, "They really have been together for 10 years". I focused on making that aspect convincing. To express this, we read the script extensively. We took time to get to know each other and feel at ease. Since all the actors are easygoing people, it was easy for us to become close. We were able to film comfortably on set».

Lee Joo Ahn did not hide his excitement at attending his first press conference since the start of his acting career. Speaking about filming, he said:

«I felt the weight of a leading role and the pressure of working with artists I have always admired, but I approached it with the mindset of, let's just do this. I even had a dream in which I was scolded for poor acting, but when I arrived on set, everyone was so kind to me that I even thought I wanted to make them my family».

Hwang Seung Gi added:

«The strength of the series lies in a script that examines love under a microscope. It honestly depicts specific moments of love. This will be a drama that most people will understand.

Our drama is the starting pitcher of the autumn season. With good actors and a great script, we simply need to do our best. I have great confidence in the production quality. Watching the actors perform on set, I was moved and filled with admiration. I am convinced that the series can simultaneously evoke empathy and persuade viewers. In this work, moments of silence and pauses without dialogue are important. They allow you to feel a great deal even without words».

Hwang Seung Gi predicted that the series would take an undisputed first place in the ratings race.

The drama «A Love Other than Yours» will premiere on September 12.
